Daveed Diggs burst onto the New York theatre scene with his Tony-winning performance in the dual roles of ‘Thomas Jefferson’ and ‘Marquis de Lafayette’ in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway sensation, Hamilton. Before originating these roles, Daveed was already well-respected in the underground hip-hop scene as the vocalist of the West Coast-based experimental trio “clipping.” Daveed can currently be seen in a recurring role on Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and was recently featured on ABC’s Blackish. He is also executive producing ABC’s new series The Mayor and will next appear in HBO’s Tour De Pharmacy. This fall he will appear as Mr. Browne, opposite Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, and Jacob Tremblay in Lionsgate’s feature film, WONDER. Based on R.J. Palacio’s New York Times bestseller, WONDER tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time. WONDER is in theaters beginning November 17.
