The message is simple and on ‘pointe’—READ. This new poster puts the spotlight on the star of Big, winner of the 2024 Caldecott Medal. The first picture book written and illustrated by Vashti Harrison, Big also received a Coretta Scott King Book Award Author Honor, a Coretta Scott King Book Award Illustrator Honor, and was a finalist for the National Book Award. A heartwarming tale about a child's journey to self-acceptance, Big explores the power of words and the complexities of being both seen and unseen.
